About LunaSabrina

Hi! I'm Sabrina
I’m a Canadian art glass collector, researcher and author with a strong interest in documenting and preserving the history of vintage Canadian glass. With a PhD in Biology and an academic background grounded in research, teaching and learning, I have always been drawn to investigating the unknown, organizing information and sharing what I discover.
My research focuses on Canadian art glass, including Chalet Artistic Glass, EDAG Crystal, Lorraine Glass Industries, Mosaic Artistic Glass and other Canadian glassmakers. Through Luna Sabrina, I document identification characteristics, historical information, unusual examples, collector discoveries and sold records to help collectors, researchers and anyone curious about Canadian glass.
I am the author of Maestro Danilo Pavanello & EDAG (ISBN 978-1-7387-8130-0), a book dedicated to the history and work of Danilo Pavanello and EDAG. I am also the owner and sole administrator of the Canadian Art Glass (Buy&Sell)community and co-administer EDAG Glass Collectors with my co-author.
Much of my research has grown through collaboration with collectors, labelled examples, historical material, photographs and documented sales. I believe knowledge is most valuable when it is shared, questioned and continually expanded as new information becomes available.
One of the goals of Luna Sabrina is to create an accessible and growing resource for Canadian art glass identification, values, sold records and research, while also helping preserve the stories behind the artists, glasshouses and pieces themselves.
Outside of glass collecting, I have a love for antiques, vintage objects and searching around Montreal for interesting pieces with history and character.
